Mary Rush was born in Indiana and started creating art in her 40s during a career break. She had previously repressed her creative side since a high school painting class. Rush attended art school a decade later and has since won several awards for her paintings and prints, exhibiting across the US and Taiwan. Rush is passionate about the expansive southwest landscape, which she explores in bold, colorful, and expressive paintings that vibrate with energy and movement. Painting abstracts also excites her. Her works are colorful, abstract, intuitive, and experimental, reflecting her intention for personal growth and freedom.
